Hello sir.

I want to use the external batteries with this(dla3000rmi2u)  ups to get more backup time.

Already connected the external batteries with the ups. 

after power on the ups starts charging and shows full charge. but not giving backup time.

the volt at batteries shows 51v  instead must show 55+ volt to give the properback up i guess.

Can apcfix solve it. or any hardware modifications if possible.

Any suggestion possibilites.

Try to use voltmeter to measure actual voltage on batteries terminals during charging. What is the voltage value ?

The actual volt on the terminal duing charging is 51.6volts.

But the apc fix shows 55.08 volts.

Yes, APCFiX can help. If you do not want to pay for fully functional APCFiX copy, search that site for APC UPS commands list. Use Hypper terminal instead.

I am ready to pay. if apcfix can fix it.

but do i have to modifiy circuit?  its ok i can do it with your help.

I have tried the hyperterminal way already. with the shift B command. i.e. voltage gain. The ups has not effect of + or - .

I shows 55.08 volts but the actuall volts on the batteries terminal  remains unchanged that is 51.6v.

Disconnect battery and try again. You have to watch the change in voltage at the terminals - use voltmeter.

i have disconnected the battery check with voltmeter on the batteries, its exact 51.6v

Seems like the ups cannt charge the batteries above 51.6v

 i discharge the batteris with normal load for one hours. the volts at batteries drops to 47.4 v. 

after than i switch on the electriciy and it starts charging and stopped as the volts at batteries reaches to 51.6. and shows full bars at the front pannel.

i have tried to adjust the two resistance with a trim pot solded with long wires.

the changing the resistance value does not have the effect on the volts at the battery terminal( meter wires are connected to the batt. terminals)

in apcfix it reports  battery volts 47.79 but actuall volts on the battery terminal were 43.7.  ups directly connected to the ac without any load attached. and front panel shows charging.
